In an effort to improve the welfare of employees and lecturers, Universitas Airlangga collaborated with PT Yekape Surabaya in establishing a housing cluster called "Griya Airlangga". This housing is located in the Wonorejo area, Rungkut, Surabaya city.
Community Reading Park (TBM) Improves Surabaya Community Literacy
TBM in Surabaya is located in the village hall, RW hall, park, mall, and other locations. The existence of TBM aims to assist community development in areas that are difficult to reach by formal education institutions and public libraries. So far, TBM supervised by the Surabaya City Library Service has carried out community empowerment programs, especially in children’s education through tutoring programs and creative community efforts.
Improve Reading Campaign for Community through Pusmintali Innovation
Pusmintali is an innovation from the Library, and Archive Agency of Gresik Regency started in January 2017. This mini-library was developed in eight bus stops in Gresik City, for general public waiting for public transportation. Furthermore, it is also a media for community reading campaign and brings books closer to the people in Gresik City. The Gresik City Library placed a bookshelf at eight bus stops.
