In Banyuwangi, UNAIR’s School of Health and Natural Sciences (SIKIA) has pioneered a comprehensive sea turtle conservation program, employing artificial incubation techniques for turtle eggs and restoring coastal pandan vegetation, a natural habitat essential for turtle nesting. In 2023, this program expanded with the launch of an eco-tourism and conservation education center at Pulau Santen Beach.
