Surabaya - In a remarkable display of dedication to environmental sustainability, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has made significant strides in embracing sustainable landscaping practices, with a particular focus on water conservation. Recognizing the dual benefits of preserving water resources and bolstering environmental sustainability, UNAIR has emerged as a shining example of responsible stewardship.

As climate change continues to threaten ecosystems worldwide, UNAIR is taking proactive steps to mitigate its impact. In 2022, the university embarked on an ambitious journey to revamp its landscaping practices to prioritize water conservation. The institution's vision is not only to create aesthetically pleasing landscapes but also to be a leader in responsible water management.

Xeriscaping and Native Plants: UNAIR has adopted xeriscaping techniques, using drought-resistant native plants in its landscaping. This approach significantly reduces the need for excessive watering, cutting down on water usage and costs.
