SDGs NEWS - The Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology Student Executive Board (BEM) Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held AIRNOLOGY 1.0. The activity carries the theme "The Future Power: Renewable Resources as Stabilizing Instruments, Economy and Environment towards Global Security," which was held on 1/10/2022 through the Zoom Meetings platform.

With the theme "Millennial's role on advancing technology to achieve the SDGs", this webinar aims to provide education for the entire community, especially millennials, in utilizing technology as an effort to achieve the SDGs. The participants of the webinar consisted of all senior high school students in Indonesia as well as students, education staff, and lecturers from FTMM. On this occasion, BEM FTMM UNAIR invited Savira Rizma Yunita S.M. as the Internal Coordinator of SDGs Center Universitas Airlangga as a resource person. Savira delivered an explanation of the SDGs paradigm and its urgency to the contribution of millennials in implementing technology to achieve the SDGs.

Savira explained that in the SDGs there are 5Ps, namely (People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership), which are interrelated with each other. One way to achieve the SDGs by 2030 is to increase collaboration, both cross-sectoral collaboration and cross-country collaboration.

Furthermore, Savira explained the division of the 4 pillars of the SDGs initiated by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. These pillars include the pillars of economic development that focus on achieving quality economic growth; the social development pillar that focuses on achieving the fulfillment of quality basic human rights in a fair and equal manner; the environmental development pillar that focuses on achieving sustainable management of natural resources and the environment; and the pillars of legal development and governance that focus on realizing legal certainty and effective governance.

Savira also informed us about the dynamics and progress of achieving the SDGs in Indonesia. According to her, the implementation of the SDGs in Indonesia has experienced significant developments. As a university, Universitas Airlangga plays an active role in carrying out SDGs activities within the university and reporting on SDGs activities in the university's sustainability report.

At the end of the presentation, millennials are expected to have awareness, concern, and take real action in implementing SDGs activities in the surrounding environment.
