Surabaya - Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is making remarkable strides in its commitment to addressing student food insecurity through a multifaceted initiative that includes "Jum'at Berkah," Ramadan support, and anniversary meal programs.

UNAIR's Social Fund Management Center has launched a comprehensive effort to ensure no student faces food insecurity during their academic journey. This initiative is not only a testament to the university's dedication to the welfare of its academic community but also an example of responsible and compassionate higher education.

Food Aid: A Free food for 1,000 Students


Every week, UNAIR's "Food Aid" Every Friday program distributes free meals to 1,000 students. The program is designed to ease the financial burden on students and ensure that they have access to nutritious meals throughout their educational experience.

Ramadhan Support: 5,000 Free Meals


During the holy Ramadan, UNAIR extends its support to the academic community by providing 5,000 free meals for students. This initiative acknowledges the religious and cultural diversity of its students and ensures that everyone is included in the spirit of togetherness.

University Anniversary: 10,000 Meals Provided


On the occasion of UNAIR's anniversary, the university goes above and beyond to celebrate by offering an additional 10,000 meals to students. This grand gesture reinforces the university's commitment to its community and their well-being.

Scaling Up Commitment in 2022: Aiming for 20,000 Meals


In 2022, UNAIR is taking its commitment to a new level by aiming to supply over 20,000 meals. This expansion demonstrates the university's unwavering dedication to ensuring that no student ever faces food insecurity during their academic journey.

UNAIR's Rector, Prof. Nasih, emphasized, "We understand the paramount importance of nourishment and support for our students. By providing these meals, we want to ensure that our students are not just academically enriched but also physically and emotionally supported."
