Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) - UNAIR has taken steps to promote water consciousness among students and the general public. With a growing awareness of environmental issues, UNAIR has chosen to set an example in reducing water wastage through several sustainable innovations implemented on campus.
One significant step taken by UNAIR is the installation of automatic faucets in various campus facilities. With these automatic faucets, students and staff not only have easier access to water but can also significantly reduce water wastage, which often occurs when faucets are left open longer than necessary. This automation technology ensures that water flows only when needed, creating a more efficient environment.

In addition to automatic faucets, UNAIR has also introduced toilets with flush systems that use recycled water. This reduces the excessive use of clean water in the flushing process and supports sustainable water resource management. Toilets with recycled water have been placed in strategic locations on campus.
UNAIR's efforts to use water wisely also include the use of low-flow toilets. These toilets minimize the volume of water used in each flush while ensuring adequate cleanliness. This is a crucial step in reducing the ecological footprint. Furthermore, UNAIR has installed pedal-operated sinks that are designed to reduce water consumption during handwashing.
