SDGs Center UNAIR Visits FKH UNAIR for an SDGs Roadshow
On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, SDGs Center UNAIR organized a roadshow at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Universitas Airlangga (FKH UNAIR) to promote SDG-related education. The event, which took place in the Tandjung Adiwinata Room at FKH UNAIR, was introduced by Dr. Mustofa Helmi Effendi DTAPH, the Deputy Dean III with a focus on research and community development.

Universitas Airlangga is committed to support zero waste movement by monitoring the amount of waste produced by the university in each period. It was recorded that in 2019, Universitas Airlangga produced 143 tons of food waste with a total campus population of around 43 thousand people.

Medcafe, Eating Spot With Hygienic and Healthy Food at FK
In Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNAIR, there is a canteen which is often crowded with visitors called Medical Café also known as Medcafe FK Unair. The name Medical Café was appropriate and chosen for the eating spot managed by academic business unit (SUA) FK Unair. It was expected not only to merely be eating spot but also served as a prototype of medical sector which put hygiene and health priorities.
FKG Canteen Hygiene and Sanitation Feasibility Certified From Health Agency
Since 2013, FKG canteen at Campus A UNAIR was certified on Hygiene and Sanitation from Health Agency. The importance of this certification was based on Minister of Health Decree Number 1098/MENKES/SK/VII/2003 on “Hygiene and Sanitation Requirements of Eating Place and Restaurants”.
Student Executive Board (BEM) and UNAIR Puspas distribute Staple Food to Students
The Student Executive Board and UNAIR Puspas have worked together distributing logistics for students who live far from their hometown and stay in Surabaya. The staple food packages are for UNAIR students who need help. The criteria of the student they supported are the ones who live far from their hometown and whose parent has low income.

Pada tahun 2017 tim pengabdian masyarakat FFUA telah memfasilitasi dengan pengetahuan mengenai pembuatan jamu beras kencur dan kunir asam. Pada tahun 2018, tim pengabdian masyarakat FFUA memberikan pelatihan diversifikasi produk dalam bentuk permen dan sediaan potpourri yang ternyata dengan cepat dapat mereka kembangkan.

Konsep dari Tuba-B adalah (Tu) tumpuk piring setelah makan, (Ba) bawa piring menuju stand tempat membeli makanan dan (B) buang sampah pada tempatnya. Kampanye tersebut disosialisasikan dengan cara menempelkan kertas berisi himbauan Tuba-B pada meja-meja kantin.

Kegiatan itu menyasar ibu-ibu rumah tangga dan kelompok masyarakat. Latar belakang dari kegiatan pengmas tersebut yaitu terkait dengan produksi buah naga yang sangat melimpah di Banyuwangi. Tercatat, setiap tahunnya produksi buah naga terus meningkat.
