In world where sustainable water management is increasingly critical, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is making significant strides in empowering communities with vital water management knowledge. Through international collaborations, local initiatives, and hands-on learning programs, UNAIR actively provides educational opportunities that help local communities develop sustainable water practices and promote environmental health.

International Collaboration for River Restoration and Community Empowerment

UNAIR's commitment to water conservation goes beyond national borders. Partnering with the World University Association for Community and Development (WUACD) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), UNAIR has engaged in a project focused on restoring the Kim Kim River in Malaysia, an area severely impacted by illegal chemical dumping. This initiative aims to educate and empower communities with the knowledge to protect and maintain clean water sources. By working alongside local communities, UNAIR is helping residents understand and implement best practices for water purification and sustainable management.
