UNAIR Automatic Control Panels Enhance Plant Irrigation Efficiency
Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) - UNAIR has taken a step by implementing automatic control panels for plant irrigation across the entire campus, using recycled water. This initiative is a move toward supporting environmental sustainability efforts and more efficient resource management.
The system is designed to maintain the campus plants in optimal condition. Each day, automatic irrigation is carried out for a duration of 30 minutes, following a predetermined schedule.
The automatic control panels are located at eight strategic points throughout the UNAIR campus:

One crucial aspect that makes this system more sustainable is the use of recycled water as the source of plant irrigation. This means that the water used for plant care has undergone a recycling process, reducing the consumption of clean water and its negative environmental impact.
